Sonzoyfor eToro

How the product works

Sonzoy runs on a small cloud server. It reads prices from eToro's public API, decides with the rules on the strategies page, and sends orders to your eToro account with a stop-loss and take-profit attached.

Setup

Connect demo→Choose strategy→Set capital & risk limits→Review→Start demo

Connect eToro

You create an API key pair in eToro's settings and paste it into Sonzoy. Keys are encrypted at rest and never shown again. Sonzoy is an independent tool: it only uses eToro's public API and is not affiliated with or endorsed by eToro. Every account starts on eToro's demo (virtual money).

Review before start

Before the bot can start you see the maximum exposure, leverage per asset class, position limits, daily loss limit and drawdown kill switch, and you confirm them.

Pause new entries

Stops the bot opening trades. Open positions stay open and keep their stop-loss and take-profit on eToro's side, so they can still close by themselves.

Close all positions

Closes every position the bot opened at the current market price and pauses the bot. Use it when you want to be flat now.

Market hours

The bot monitors continuously but only trades when a market is open: US stocks 09:35–15:55 New York time on weekdays; index, currency and commodity CFDs roughly Sunday 22:00 to Friday 22:00 UTC with daily breaks; crypto every day, including weekends. On weekends only crypto can trade, and only when a crypto recipe passes the lab.

API usage and limits

eToro publishes a shared limit of 120 market-data requests per 60 seconds per key. Live prices for every market come from one rates request every 10 seconds (6 requests a minute, up to 1,000 markets per request). Candles are cached, shared between users, and refreshed at most once per bar; all market-data calls are spaced at least 0.6 s apart (≤ 100 a minute). The weekly strategy lab uses eToro's separate history endpoint, which has its own 120-per-minute limit. If eToro answers "too many requests", the bot waits the time eToro asks for.

Stops are not guarantees

Every order carries a stop-loss and take-profit held on eToro's side. In fast markets, at the weekly open or after news, the price can jump past a stop and the position closes at the next available price, which can be worse. A stop limits risk in normal conditions; it is not a guaranteed loss ceiling.
